Method: For the blood orange simple syrup: Bring water, sugar and blood orange slices to a boil. Boil the ingredients for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
Pour the blood orange through your strainer. Chill and set aside until ready to serve.
For the Blood orange paloma:
Garnish the rim of the glass with salt by spreading a small mound of salt on a small plate. Moisten the outer rim of the glasses with the lime or orange wedge, then dip the rims into the salt to lightly coat.
Fill a shaker with the tequila, grapefruit syrup, orange syrup and blood orange simple syrup. Shake for 15 seconds & strain into a highball glass with ice.
Garnish: Dehydrated grapefruit slice or dehydrated blood orange slice
